It is our goal to work alongside customers and solve their challenges with efficiency, progressive solutions and quality products. This approach is what makes Andes Chemical stand out.
OUR HISTORY
Andes Chemical Corp was created in 1986 from one man’s vision: that by combining an expert knowledge of the chemical industry and the commitment of providing solutions to the specific needs of their customers, a business would better serve other companies and ultimately be successful. With this strategic purpose Fernando Espinosa formed Andes Chemical. Armed with a degree from Florida State University and a decade of experience selling chemicals in the paint industry, Espinosa was the business’ sole employee. With his game plan quickly proven to be sound, Andes Chemical accomplished solid sales of $1.8 million within 6 months.

Based in Miami, Florida, Espinosa grew the raw material export business by relentlessly developing a network throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, establishing a diverse portfolio of principals. By 1990, annual revenues at Andes Chemical had increased to $10 million. In 1996 – the same year Espinosa was honored as Hispanic Business’s Entrepreneur of the Year, revenues were almost three times greater and Andes Chemical moved into its fully-owned 17,000 square-foot warehouse in Miami. Today Andes Chemical operates out of its own state-of-the-art 40,000 square-foot facilities in Miami and generates roughly $50 million in revenues.

Still, Espinosa’s original principle guides the company. Specialized service remains the top priority as Andes Chemical oversees the entire logistics chain for its customers’ needs. These specialized services include; inventory warehousing, freight consolidation, freight forwarding and the expert handling of all required international shipping documentation. Andes Chemical has become an innovative solution and logistic provider of specialty chemicals and a preferred partner of customers and suppliers in the Latin American region.

Andes Chemical defines its business model by sharing its extensive market knowledge and technical expertise of the chemical industry and to help customers create the most innovative and effective solutions to meet their specific unmet needs.

“While Logistics and Responsible Distribution are what we do, Andes true identity is all about our People. Our staff with many years of experience provides the ultimate cross road between logistics and customer innovation“, says Espinosa.
